Spacetrawler - 12/16/13 Hitching A Ride

Another one in black & white. Sorry about that. I’ve been up until midnight every night for the past week-and-a-half packaging orders for the Kickstarter. I really need to hire some elves next time, maybe I’ll talk to Santa. Anyhow, down to the last bunch. Am still hoping I might have them out by end-of-day Monday, but we’ll see. (the originally posted pencils here)

I did go out Saturday night. A friend had a night of sitting around a fireplace, reading poetry and essays, doodling, and snacks and drinks. It started right around when the blizzard hit, which made it extra cozy, and since her house was only 10 minutes away, I’d walked there and had a lovely midnight walk home in a half foot of still-swirling snow. It was nice to have a break from work for a few hours to go to such goodness.

Also, because of the orders, I’ve missed the last two model-drawing sessions. but since this was a night of reading and doodling, I doodled my friend’s living room mantle. Good times.

Spacetrawler - 12/18/13 With A Fight

Hey! I made it farther than the last two strips. I actually managed to get the inks done on this one. ;-) (the originally posted inks here)

But things will go back to normal now. All the orders have been packaged and tonight I can actually sleep relaxed. Of course, there are only two strips left to this story, and then on to the next project. I’m EXCITED!!! :)

Not much else to report. I’ve just been packaging orders. I wanted to give the care and attention to each order, each doodle, each certificate, that they each deserved. I’ll cross my fingers they get to you by Christmas.

<3 -Christopher

Spacetrawler - 12/13/13 Saying Goodbyes

This strip somewhat wraps things up, but there’s still one more strip on Wednesday! Then on Monday, THE NEW PROJECT! You don’t have to go anywhere right away, it will be posted HERE at spacetrawler.com (at least for now) as well as on baldwinpage.com, so no need to wander.

We had a good weekend. Domestic stuff. Shopping, cooking. I worked a tiny bit on my novel (for fun!). We prepared an outdoor cat house for the stray, Roger, who our downstairs neighbor kinda’ adopted (red: made somewhat dependent) but has not been consistent or provided any shelter for the sub-zero temperatures. We’re looking into options to neuter him before spring inevitable prowling.

Which would make a good holiday post: love your fellow human, but also turn some love to the animals. If you’re thinking of pets for Christmas, go to a shelter, yes, but DON’T go to a pet store or a breeder. About 3 million pets are euthanized each year in shelters, and holiday pets are often abandoned once the reality of what it takes to care for a pet sets in.<3

Spacetrawler - 12/25/13 Child Care

As you all no doubt recall, it was hinted recently here, and was a result of this, with the first discovery of it here: is that Red-9 had Dimitri’s child.

Annnnnd…. that’s a wrap. Spacetrawler is now officially done. The new (non-Spacetrawler) strip will begin appearing on Monday here as-well-as-at baldwinpage.com (which will be revamped later this week). It will again be comedy and sci-fi, but that’s all I’ll tell you. :)

I hope you all enjoyed the bonus story. It was a bit more plot detailed than the main story, so it might depend more on reading it all in one go. If you wish to, it began here. The three unfinished pages I’ll try to have done before January 9th. I have an enormous amount on my plate, so I’ll just do the best I can.

And lastly, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you.

<3

-Christopher
